Jessica and Aaliyah from the C3 Group continued their visits to our Thrive Schools with the presentation of their C3 Eco Excellence in Schools Award to the children at Ings Primary School. For many years, their Eco Committee has led the rest of the school in lots of Eco projects. This has continued in 2024-25 with more planting, the creation of a school pond, amongst other new initiatives and ongoing work.

It was great to read about the Eco Award and see students being recognized for caring about the environment. During a busy semester, I had to hire expert for online course help because I was struggling to balance coursework and other responsibilities. I liked how the school encouraged practical actions instead of just talking about sustainability. Small efforts made early can inspire lifelong habits.

It is great to see young students learning about the environment and earning eco awards at school. My little cousin recently joined a recycling activity at her school, and it made her more excited about helping at home too. During that same busy week with family events and coursework, I decided to use take my online class support for one subject to manage my time better. Teaching children about nature early can build good habits for life.
