​C3 Eco Award for Ings on Eco Day

Ings Junior Leadership Team were delighted to welcome Jessica and Aaliyah from the C3 Group on their special Eco Day. The school has been doing lots of exciting Eco projects throughout the year, but today was another opportunity to get immersed in Eco activities.

This year, they have wanted to welcome and protects wildlife by planting more trees, growing flowers/plants to attract pollinators, build homes for wildlife and construct a pond to encourage insect/frog habitats. They've been doing loads of litter picking and growing more food in their raised beds.

The school has also continued to recycle school uniforms and donated clothing plus they have been part of the Schoolcycled plastic bottle-collecting initiative.

With all of this going on, there was no doubt that they deserved their C3 Group Eco Excellence in Schools Award.
